A Weekend At The Beach

We got to enjoy last weekend at my Dad's beach house. The kids and I had a four day weekend, so, we took advantage of it and headed for the beach a day early. Ryan of course had to work all weekend, so, he kept Tigger company at home. The kids begged to take Wiley. He actually really enjoyed the adventure. He started the 2 hour drive in the kennel, but then enjoyed exploring the car for the rest of the trip.
Caitlin was my little photographer for the drive.

He liked to sit on the center console and look out the windows.

And we finally made it to the beach. It was a beautiful sunny day, but boy was it COLD!

I absolutely love the beach and being with family. So, I ended up with a lot of pictures. I had a hard time picking my favorites. So, there's a lot of them. :)

We came accross this fort that someone spent a lot of time on. The kids thought that it was GREAT!

They always have a blast, playing in the dunes.

I love this picture, for some reason.

Back to the house!

Straight into the tub!!!

I HAD to include this one. What a goof!

My two cuddlers!

More Beach Pictures

Dad and Nicholas brought grandma and grandpa, the next day. I'm so glad that grandma was able to escape Dr.'s appointments to join us for 3 days! It was great to spend some time with them!

We found a good spot to park the grandparents. I think they enjoyed soaking up some sunshine and ocean breeze!

What a gorgeous day!

Some sword fighting, without the swords!

Had to get one of the love birds in front of the ocean.

Caleb loves playing with his great grandpa, even if he can't hear him!

Our Last Day

Justin and Patti joined us on Sunday. So, we were all together for almost 24 hours!

Mr. Smiley was having a lot of fun!!!

Sitting around with Opa

Combing all of his hairs

The grandparents relaxing with the paper!

It was amazing how much wood was on the beach from last month's storms. You could tell where the water was, all the way in the dunes. That would have been an amazing sight to see. I love the beach, when it's really stormy, but that would have probably been a bit much. The week without power and being trapped there, wouldn't do much for me! But I still love to watch a good storm at the beach, from the warmth of the
house. :)

Final group shot

It didn't take long for all the little heads to nod!

Some Random pictures

It has been VERY cold this past week with highs in the 30's. Caitlin gathered up all the ice out of the puddles. What a nut!

We FINALLY got our carpet fixed, after the water damage. After a month of ripped up carpet, it's VERY nice to have our space put back together. Although, I was getting quite use to our open space, with all the furniture out in the garage. Now it's back to our cluttered, cramped living room!

Cuddle Buddies!

I think this kitty is loved!

He definitely thinks he's pretty tough, always attacking the "big cats."

Caleb's Buddy

Caleb got to have his best buddy over for some playtime last week. They share a love of cars. They had a blast.

Wiley enjoyed chasing their snakes!

This is what I found when I got out of the shower that night. I practically stepped on him! He was a tired boy!
