Caitlin and Papa

Caitlin wanted to go to the zoo. Since she has papa wrapped around her little finger, he was more than happy to take her. We dropped them off at the zoo and Caleb, Nana, and I did a little shopping.

Caitlin has become quite the little photographer. This is just a sampling of the MANY pictures she took at the zoo. Here are a few of her favorites.
The Leopard

The Cougar

The Snow Leopard

The Artic Fox
The Mudskippers (They are fish that can go on land, climb trees, and go under water.)

Nemo!

Komodo Dragon

Hippo

Spotted Hyenas

Caitlin's favorite ( Giant Elephant Shrews ) .

She also dragged him out fishing!

They didn't catch too many fish, but Caitlin found something much better!

Only my Caitlin would come home from a fishing trip with a leech looking thing like this!

And only HER papa would buy her a fish bowl to give it a home, IN MY home. Yuck!!!

Fun Times Around The Apartment With Nana and Papa

Caitlin kept the schedule pretty full, while Nana and Papa were here. So, after 2 days of driving around and going places, it was nice to spend a day around the apartment.

The kids had requested their scooter and skateboard from home. Of course Papa got right on that. They enjoyed the bike path a lot more with some wheels.

A little exploring off the path.

We, of course, made it to the pool a couple times to cool off!

Everything is always SO much more fun with Nana and Papa around!

My Baby Girl is 8!

August 1, 2008

Caitlin decided that she wanted to go to the aquarium for her birthday this year. This was a welcomed activity after her party from last year. I think that I'm STILL recovering from that one!

We enjoyed checking out all of the underwater creatures!

Caitlin picked the aquarium restaurant for dinner. It was a fun place with an aquarium wall next to our table. Thanks for a great dinner, Papa!

We all enjoyed watching this puffer fish!

CHEERS!!!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Browne!

Her ice cream cake

I'm sure our downstairs neighbor enjoyed Caitlin's game of bubble pop!

Happy Birthday My Love!

July 29th

Ryan was actually able to take his birthday off! He was pretty much too exhausted to want to do anything though. We had a relaxing day, went and got fish tacos, and ate fruit pizza!

Caitlin put her touch on the fruit pizza this year! We had to just cover it with fruit before we ate it. She's so creative!

Catching Up!

Well, since I'm still waiting for my Breaking Dawn book to come in the mail, I thought I better take the time to catch up on my blog. I know I've been slacking!

I did have 3 thick books to read, which ended up in many late nights. I'm not made to stay up until 3am anymore! We also were very thrilled to have some company for the weekend. Nana and Papa got to come out for Caitlin's birthday and they were able to stay for 4 days. It was SO great to have them here! I didn't realized how much I've been craving adult conversations and some company. I've really missed having my mama, my second best friend, close by.
Unfortunately we have had many tears today, since they've left. This has still been a bit of a challenging experience. We all have our emotional days!
I can't believe I'm saying it, but I'm looking forward to some cooler days. Today was the 23rd day in a row over 90 degrees, many of those days broke 100. I'm not complaining, but I'm really looking forward to this week in the 80's!
Well, for some reason, my pictures aren't uploading. So much for catching up! :(
