New Addition to the household!!!! ....HEHEHE....

This is my Birthday/Father's Day/Christmas present (probably for the next couple years)!!!! Sony Bravia LCD....1080p baby!!!!..... Honestly I was sick of playing my PS3 games with just a standard old (little) tv..... SO YES!!! I bought myself one!!! And yes I bought it for the sole intention to play video games..... I know, I know.... I'm job-less now and shouldn't be spending this kinda money......but for the record I had bought it "before" my last day at work AND I had saved up for quite some time for one....... As I have told Jill.....It was either this or one of those new Chevy Camaros so I'd say that Jill got out cheap....HEHEHE......HAPPY B-DAY TO ME!!!!!

Job? ~Update~

After 3 weeks of job hunting, Ryan finally got his FIRST call and has an interview today. Hopefully it will be something he's interested in and it will be meant to be. I'm finally starting to get use to him home all the time. It was quite an adjustment, going from seeing him twice a week to 24-7. I still can't seem to get into my usual productive routine though. It just always feels like a "day off," with him home.
Well, Ryan's interview went good. He was their first interview and they had 85 people apply for the job. She said that most of those 85 people, including Ryan, are over qualified and would be taking a pay cut. So, we're not holding our breath. At least it was a step in the right direction. Not TOO encouraging though!

Hawaii~Week One~

~June 21st-June 26th~
After our 2 hour flight to Phoenix, we embarked on our 7 hour flight to Kauai. It was VERY LOOOONG. We took many movies, they played 2 movies on the plane, and do you think Caleb wanted to check either of those options out, Oh no. Evidently asking me, every 15 min, if it's almost time to land is MUCH more fun. Luckily he did take a nap, which gave me some relief. And I brought him a surprise tiny Lego set and he was entertained with that for about an hour, but oh my. It didn't help that we got NOTHING to eat on the flight, not even a bag of peanuts. What has this world come to?!? Of course I brought many snacks, but not of them compared to the ones you could buy from the stewardess.

Needless to say, we were all very excited to see this beautiful island and LAND.

I'm sorry, my computer is giving me issues and I'm tired of blogging. So, you'll have to visualize these pictures down at the bottom, with the other snorkeling ones. I'm NOT moving them!
With the 4 hour time difference, the kids were up at 3am for the first two mornings and then slowly woke up later and later. It was nice to get an early start on the day, but it stunk that we had already been awake half the day, before everyone else got up. :)
Our first day we went to the beach of course. Baby Beach was a short walk from the house.

The kids had a blast playing in the water with their uncles.

RUN!!!

Checking things out, underwater.

All tuckered out!

Relaxing after a long day at the beach.

Unfortunately Caitlin got a bad sunburn on her back and shoulders, on the first day. Luckily they had cheap swim shirts at Costco. She kept that on the rest of the trip.

There were a lot of these cool birds everywhere.

The geckos were fun, but I could have done without them zipping around the house after dark. I just about wet my pants!

Hanging around the house.

These two are great buddies!

Spouting Horn

Poipu Beach
More fun at the beach.

WIPEOUT! This wave pummeled Caitlin over.

They spent hours playing in the waves. Caleb kept his toes by the edge though.

Chickens, chickens, EVERYWHERE! Oh my!

There were chickens, chicks, and roosters everywhere we went on the island. They were especially fun, when they'd start crowing at 3 in the morning. NOT!

Checking out the cool play structure.

The gang
My dad and brothers and of course, us.
Deep in thought?
Opaeka falls

Getting on the boat to see Fern Grotto.

Someone got a little sleepy on the ride back.

Such a pretty jungle.

Fern Grotto
I love this brother of mine. He's grown up into quite a nice young man. It still stinks that he's so much taller than me. He'll still always be my baby brother.

Sleeping buds

It was a lot of fun, watching this sea turtle eat of the ocean bottom, a few feet off shore.

My kids seemed to enjoy walking along the beach in their snorkel stuff. Goofs!

Caitlin enjoyed snorkeling, but it was still a little freaky for her. Not that I blame her.

Caitlin and Nicholas
Cute little puffer fish

More fun in the waves.
What a gang!

Ahhhh! The End! Now you might not see anything else from me for like a month. I'm SICK of pictures!
