Fun with Nana and Papa

Lovin' Nana in front of Multnomah falls

Happy Birthday Papa!

Enjoying some table top pool, Caitlin style.

For Papa's birthday we went out for pizza and played lots of games.

Caitlin and Nana had the record score.

This game...

produced MANY bouncy balls!
They even played a round of pool.
We got to enjoy Great-grandma Cate.

Snuggle Time!

Cooking in the kitchen with Nana.
The fun with Legos was never ending. They borrowed a bucket from their Uncle Nicholas. They probably got 40 hours of playing time out of them.

Caitlin and Papa got to go to a Blazer game. They had a lot of fun.
Here's Caitlin getting her face painted.

Of course, Papa had to get it done too!
What a fun time we all had!
On a side note, while we were visiting they closed on a house...in ARIZONA! We were QUITE bummed that they aren't going to be closer to us, but this will be an exciting adventure for them. We hope they will visit often.

Hanging Out at Grandpa's

We were able to spend four days out at my grandpa's house last week, before he went in for his back surgery. He has been in the hospital for a week, but seems to be on the upside of things now.

It was fun to spend some time with this great guy, but hard to watch him STILL SO miserable and sad without grandma. Hopefully this back surgery will lift his spirits and get him active again.

While we were there, we got lots of visitors. It was so nice to see everyone.

The kid's love my cousin Chelsea's cute little dog Monte.

My other cousin, Abbey, was dog sitting this beast of a dog. Caleb loved watching him outside.

We also got to spend some great time with my dad.

As usual, the kids had a bawl with him.

What a ride!

Story time

Playing legos with Opa.

Great-grandpa always keeps the best goodies around his house. Pudding cups were the specialty this day.
Playing bouncy balls with great-grandpa

Caleb sure loves his great-grandpa.

Looking for frogs in the pond

He took them on an exciting tractor ride, to get the newspaper.

What fun!

Me and my gramps, in the hospital

There is something about this picture that I love, although it kind of scares me at the same time.

I miss the sun!

Oh, how I'm sick of this view!

Rain, rain, overcast skies, and more rain. It's been pouring for 5 days now. I think I've only seen the sun twice, in the two and a half week that I've been in the Northwest. I don't know how I ever lived here!

I am enjoying catching up with family and friends. We will be here until next week. Of course I have a ton of pictures to go through, before I can post. So, who knows when I'll get around to that. I just had to share my total dismay with this climate. Gloomy, gloomy, gloomy!

Loving My In-Laws

We had SUCH a good time seeing mom, dad, and Stefanie and her family.

It's been WAY too long! It's sad to think that Ethan was only a few months older than Emily, the last time we saw him. Now he's as big as our 5 year old!

The whole gang

Us, Ryan's sister Stefanie, her husband Danny, their 2 kids Ethan and Emily, and Ryan's parents

Grandma and grandpa with their cute granddaughters and uncooperative grandsons.

The Four Cousins

Our breakfast spread at the hotel every morning

It was very nice to have breakfast waiting every morning.

Sweet little Emily. I can't believe she's already 3 months old!

What a sweet pair.

The boys checking out Emily

Caitlin enjoyed holding Emily.

Ryan even held her...ONCE.

Danny and Ethan

I LOVE this little girl. I already miss having her snuggled into my neck.

I love this girl too! I couldn't have picked a better sister-in-law. She's the best! I wish they lived closer!

This was my favorite position for the trip. I LOVE being an auntie. I just wish I got to enjoy it more often!

Double trouble!

Grandpa and the boys

Grandma and the girls

Caitlin and grandma

These two boys make me smile! They were inseparable within an hour of meeting. It makes me laugh that Ethan is 2 years younger and only has half an inch to go to catch up with Caleb.

Fun playing with Uncle Danny

I sure wish these two lived a little closer. What fun they could have with more than 4 days to get acquainted.
We had a wonderful time catching up with family, even though there were sad times. I wish everyone lived closer. I don't know how those 4 days flew by SO fast!
